The Beach
Englewood seats comfortably off the West Coast of the Gulf of Mexico, a small town free of high-risers and corporate businesses. Englewood Beach, Blind Pass and Stump Pass offer acres of white sand dunes and crystal blue waters. All Englewood beaches are located within 1.5 miles radius from our place on an island called Manasota Key. The bridge to cross to Manasota Key, starts at our property.
Englewood beaches are known for being the best to find shark teeth and many different types of shells for the serious or fun-loving shell collectors. You can watch dolphins and manatees at all beaches or just relax and take one of the best sunset pictures ever! Chairs and umbrellas are available for rent Englewood Beach and all beaches have pavilions with bathrooms. Drum circle Sundays at sunset!
Dearborn Street Historic District
Dearborn Street is our main street in town, offering entertainment, shows and events all year round
- Englewood Farmers Market every Thursday 9 am to 2 pm
- Live Music at Englewood on Dearborn Tue- Sat
- Cruisin’ on Dearborn Car Show takes place the first Saturday of the month.
- Elsie Quirk Public Library is open Monday-Saturday.

Lemon Bay
Lemon Bay offers anglers one of the best fishing spots in the world. Near all Englewood canals and open waters, you can expect to hook Snapper, Grouper, Red Fish, Snook and Tarpon Among others. Boca Grande, the Tarpon capital of the world is just an 18-minute drive from us.
Yes! You can bring your boat to Sun Life if is less than 22 ft, and we will park it near your room, let us know at the time of booking. Bay Heights Park has a new boat ramp/kayak launching pad located across the street from us, featuring 20 vehicles/trailer spots, where you can put your boat right on Lemon Bay. Ask for more information at check-in.

Day and Night Fun
Our town is a lot of fun for people of all ages but mainly for seniors and retirees! Englewood is known for its safety and for keeping its old Florida style without tall buildings and big businesses. Our community has numerous parks with walking trails and fun bars and restaurants. Most places are closed by 11 pm-no night clubs which keeps the bad crowds and drama away.

Want to find some treasures? Englewood has many thrift stores and cute little shops to find decorations and souvenirs at excellent prices to take home. We do not have a shopping mall, just small businesses with great prices!
